Minimum requirements: Matric or relevan NQF qualification Minimum 5 years experience in product sourcing or development, specifically dealing with international suppliers specifically sourcing products from China Proven leadership experience managing or building a team Strong understanding of import processes, costing, and global supply chains Experience in home ware, kitchenware, or related product categories highly advantageous Valid drivers licence and own vehicle Willing to travel Internationally – 3 times per year conducting supplier visits Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will oversee both international branded ranges and proprietary house brands (e.g. Regent and Bar Butler), ensuring that all products meet quality, cost, and market requirements Ensure that product ranges are relevant, commercially viable, and delivered efficiently directly impacting profitability, brand strength, and customer satisfaction Product Strategy & Range Management Develop, curate, and optimize product ranges aligned with market trends and retailer requirements Identify opportunities for innovation, cost improvement, and category growth. Evaluate product & category performance and rationalize ranges based on commercial metrics International Sourcing & Supplier Relations Source products globally, with a strong focus on suppliers in China and other key manufacturing regions Negotiate pricing, MOQs, production timelines, and quality standards Establish and maintain strong supplier partnerships Brand & Packaging Oversight Ensure product alignment with brand strategies (e.g. Regent, Bar Butler, Consol and international brands represented by HCS) Manage packaging development, artwork coordination, and compliance with retail requirements Maintain consistent brand presentation across all product categories Digital Product Data & Content Management Ensure all product information is accurately captured and maintained Verify product descriptions, specifications, and attributes are correctly recorded Oversee uploading and management of product data and graphics onto relevant systems, platforms and websites Quality Control & Compliance Establish and maintain quality assurance processes Coordinate inspections, certifications, and product testing where necessary Investigate and resolve product or supplier quality issues Cross – Functional Coordination Collaborate with sales, logistics, procurement, and warehouse teams Oversee timelines from concept through to import and delivery Ensure accurate product specifications, costing, and documentation Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Margin performance across ranges On- time product development and launch Supplier performance and reliability Product defect/return rates Team performance and delivery efficiency Inventory optimization and stock turn Speed of sourcing and development cycles Consultant: Joelene Koekemoer – Dante Personnel Johannesburg

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Planning, including identifying business opportunities, mapping territories for growth potential, setting targets for each product brand, formulating strategies to achieve targets, and aligning plans and strategies with that of external sales executives. Sales Growth, including conducting sales appointments in conjunction with external sales executives, arranging conducting product presentations, providing technical training to sales staff, promoting cross-selling at every opportunity, arranging and conducting user training. Territory management, including conducting research into new market sectors, assisting sales executives to identify all potential consumption zones with client organisations. Brand development, including ensuring that business opportunities are identified across the range of products, liaising with the marketing manager and fellow product managers for support programs and materials, conducting group and individual presentations to decision making units, providing advice and service, conducting competitive product comparisons, keeping abreast of technological and economical developments, and managing loan equipment. Procurements, liaising with suppliers, negotiating best prices and supply terms, minimising supply lag periods, ensuring adequate holding of stock items, and enhancing the product range. Key Requirements: Science degree, diploma, or equivalent with a minimum 5 years experience in laboratory equipment/consumables sales. Experience within a scientific/laboratory environment would be beneficial. Valid drivers license and own reliable transport required. NOW HIRING | CPE Product Manager A leading telecommunications and connectivity business is looking to appoint an experienced CPE Product Manager to drive the end-to-end strategy and lifecycle management of Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) across consumer, enterprise, and private 5G product lines. This is a strategic product role focused on enabling scalable, commercially viable, and operationally supportable connectivity solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and manage the CPE portfolio strategy across consumer broadband, enterprise connectivity, and private 5G solutions • Own the full product lifecycle from evaluation and business case development through launch, optimization, refresh, and retirement • Define product and technical requirements for CPE devices across multiple market segments • Manage vendor relationships including OEMs, ODMs, chipset providers, and certification partners • Lead product evaluations, vendor selection, and portfolio performance reviews • Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, procurement, finance, enterprise product teams, and customer support • Support enterprise and private 5G deployment requirements across industries such as logistics, healthcare, utilities, mining, and manufacturing • Drive operational readiness including provisioning, lifecycle support, firmware management, and scalability ? Qualifications & Experience: • Relevant experience in Product Management within telecommunications, connectivity, networking, broadband, or related technology sectors • Proven experience managing hardware-enabled or connectivity-based product portfolios • Strong understanding of CPE technologies and deployment models • Experience building business cases and managing cross-functional product delivery • Exposure to one or more of the following is highly advantageous: ?
