Job Description
The main purpose of this position is to develop and grow the MV Drives business for the Company
Duties include:
- Identify, qualify and develop new MV Drives sales opportunities.
- Follow up on, co-ordinate and also directly engage end users, consultants, OEMs and any other parties to get orders from existing and new enquiries.
- Manage an up-to-date quote and opportunity register
- Manage an up-to-date reference list
- Train internal staff to upskill them for MV Drives sales
- Interface with product sales management and also to be updated on product developments.
- Sales and product assistance to all branches, sales teams, business development and Africa.
- Ensure that all key account and major customers relevant to MV Drives are taken care of.
- Monthly reporting and other reporting as required.
- Utilise and maintain appropriate internal systems, methods and procedures.
- Keep the division up to date with competitor information, market trends and developments.
- Market research and knowledge to support the correct growth strategies.
- Annual and periodic strategic planning and budget preparation.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric and N6 Electrical or equivalent with 10 years experience in Drives & Controls.
- Strong general understanding of the business.
- Computer literate Strong MS Windows, Excel, PowerPoint and SYSPRO.
- Valid drivers license
- Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, including formal communications and making presentations.
- Willingness and freedom to travel extensively, including frequent overnight stays away from home base.
- Position will require out of town, national and international travel
