Job Description

Role Overview: The goal of this role is to penetrate the market for heavy vehicle products, maintain excellent relationships with fleets, trailer builders, and spare distributors, and ensure that products are specified, sold, and serviced correctly. Key Responsibilities: Call on fleet operators to ensure products are specified on new vehicles, update them on latest technology, and provide necessary literature. Call on trailer and body builders to update them on products, build relationships, and provide literature. Identify new fleet customers and ensure product adoption. Liaise with Quality/Warranty to ensure proper procedures are followed. Assist fleets with maintenance procedures and provide ongoing training. Perform Customer Journey Management: activities, reporting, tasks, feedback, and processing. Conduct monthly area visits, cold calling, prospecting, forward planning, and regular reporting. Assist with aftermarket (AM) sales and call on relevant distributors. Take responsibility for consignment stock. Develop a business plan for South African and African markets. Define product strategy and roadmap. Maintain AM/PE price lists and monitor competitor activity. Work with sales/marketing teams to gather customer feedback and keep products competitive. Service the existing customer base while finding new customers. Explore new markets and opportunities to expand the product range. Must have Commercial Vehicle experience with Truck and Trailer parts as well as aftermarket parts Knowledge and Skills: Diploma in Sales and Marketing Management or similar. Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle products. 510 years experience in the transport industry (HCV/manufacturing focus). Excellent communication and presentation skills. Computer literacy (MS Office) Good Understanding of Administration
