About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Content Creator / Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team in Johannesburg. As a Laboratory Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing digital marketing campaigns that resonate with laboratory professionals, procurement teams, researchers, and industry stakeholders. Your expertise in content creation, graphic design, and campaign execution will play a crucial role in driving business growth and expanding our brand presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing technically accurate marketing content tailored to laboratory professionals, procurement teams, researchers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Creating written and visual marketing content, including emails, newsletters, presentations, brochures, blog articles, social media posts, and press releases.
  • Designing engaging layouts and graphics using tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ensuring all content aligns with the brand and communicates clearly to a scientific and technical audience.
  • Managing audience targeting and basic automation using digital and email marketing platforms.
  • Supporting and executing digital marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotional initiatives.
  • Scheduling, publishing, and managing social media content across relevant platforms.
  • Assisting with email marketing, website content updates, and other digital touchpoints.
  • Assisting with the creation of video content for marketing initiatives, product showcases, and social media platforms.
  • Compiling reports and insights to support data-driven marketing decision-making.
  • Collaborating closely with sales teams, product specialists, and management to gather content and market insights.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred for this role.
  • Previous experience having worked in content creation, digital marketing, or a related role.
  • Experience in a scientific, technical, or B2B environment is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools such as email platforms, Mailchimp, social media tools, analytics, Canva, and Photoshop.
  • Basic videography or video editing skills will be advantageous.
