About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant Supervisor to join our team in Durban North. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of monthly clients, managing deadlines, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a personal portfolio of monthly clients to the same standard expected of the team
- Handle client queries escalated from accountants in the team
- Resolve matters that fall beyond the accountant’s technical scope or authority
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, VAT returns, payroll reports, and trial balances
- Coordinate the handover of complete, reconciled trial balances to the AFS department on agreed internal dates
- Liaise with Personal Tax and Company Tax departments on all tax matters arising within the supervised portfolio
- Coordinate annual compliance obligations (AFS, annual tax, CIPC, BO, ROE, Dividends Tax, and Donations Tax)
- Identify high-potential accountants and raise their development with management
