About the Role
Kethelo Group is seeking experienced drivers and assistants to join our team. As a key member of our logistics division, you will be responsible for safely operating a vehicle with a gross vehicle weight of up to 3,500 kg (Code 10) in accordance with all traffic laws and regulations. You will transport goods from one location to another, ensuring timely delivery and pick-up. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, efficient, and passionate about providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a vehicle with a gross vehicle weight of up to 3,500 kg (Code 10) in accordance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport goods from one location to another, ensuring timely delivery and pick-up.
- Load and unload cargo safely and securely, following proper procedures to prevent damage.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle, both inside and out.
- Follow delivery schedules and routes as assigned by the supervisor or dispatcher.
- Provide exceptional customer service and handling any inquiries or concerns.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, including logs of distances travelled, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to the appropriate supervisor.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Code 10 driver’s license
- Ability to transport goods safely and efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills
Qualifications
- Matric certificate (if required)
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive daily rate of R 500 – R 700 per day, depending on experience and performance.
- Overtime pay available upon request.
