About the Role

A boutique Specialist Investment managing firm is seeking an experienced Equity Analyst to join their team at their Johannesburg Offices. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in assisting Portfolio Managers with carefully thought-out investment ideas, both domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

Produce at least six high quality written ideas (3 x SA and 3 x Global) per year.
Update existing valuation models & Sector reviews.
Maintain Centralized research database.
Deliver at least 3 ESG-related engagements per year.
Report Back on results of companies under coverage after attending management presentations.
Provide guidance to junior analysts when necessary.

Requirements

Advanced Computer literacy MS Office suite
Excellent Communication skills (Verbal and Written)
Strong Analytical Ability
Organized and Excellent planning skills
Attention to detail
Report writing & Verbal reporting skills

Qualifications

No formal education or certifications are required for this position. However, a degree in Finance CA(SA) or CFA or Master would be advantageous.
