Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Finance Business Partner with extensive exposure to the mining and metals industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial processes and reporting within this sector, as well as excellent analytical skills and business acumen. This role will involve providing strategic financial support and analysis to senior management in order to drive business growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the mining and metals industry
– Provide comprehensive financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes
– Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives
– Assist with financial planning and strategy development, identifying opportunities for improvement & growth
– Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying variances and trends for further investigation
– Support the development of business cases for major investment projects or acquisitions
– Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial processes are efficient and effective
– Stay informed of industry trends and changes that may impact the financial performance of the company
Skills and Qualifications:
– Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
– Professional qualification such as CIMA, CFA, or CA(SA)
– Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role within the mining and metals industry
– Strong understanding of financial processes and reporting specific to mining and metals companies
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
– Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely
– Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
– Proficient in financial modeling and forecasting
– Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software programs
