About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Supervisor to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the full month-end general ledger close, as well as leading a team of accountants to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the full month-end general ledger close
- Review and approve reconciliations, journals, and intercompany transactions
- Prepare, analyse, and present monthly management accounts
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of accountants
- Act as the primary point of contact for auditors and resolve audit-related queries
- Strengthen financial controls and drive improvements across processes and systems
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of finance experience (legal or financial services experience not required)
- Solid technical knowledge in:
- General ledger close processes
- Reconciliation review and accuracy checks
- Preparation of management accounts
- Reviewing journals and intercompany balances
- Managing and responding to audit queries
Qualifications
- Completed BCom degree
- CIMA or ACCA qualification (completed or in final stages)
