About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Supervisor to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the full month-end general ledger close, as well as leading a team of accountants to ensure consistent, high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the full month-end general ledger close
  • Review and approve reconciliations, journals, and intercompany transactions
  • Prepare, analyse, and present monthly management accounts
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of accountants
  • Act as the primary point of contact for auditors and resolve audit-related queries
  • Strengthen financial controls and drive improvements across processes and systems

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of finance experience (legal or financial services experience not required)
  • Solid technical knowledge in:
  • General ledger close processes
  • Reconciliation review and accuracy checks
  • Preparation of management accounts
  • Reviewing journals and intercompany balances
