About the Role
The Financial Manager will oversee all operations of the Finance Department, set strategic goals, and ensure the delivery of accurate, timely financial reporting to support business decision-making. This role is responsible for driving financial excellence, maintaining compliance, and leading a high-performing finance team within the insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and board.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Streamline and enhance reporting processes to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals.
- Manage finance-related projects and ensure timely delivery of key deliverables.
- Provide financial insights and modelling to support strategic decisions.
Requirements
- Matric certificate and BCom in Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in financial management roles.
- Strong expertise in budgeting, reporting, forecasting, and financial controls.
- Proven experience in team leadership and staff development.
- Exposure to audits, compliance, and financial modelling.
Qualifications
- CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification (advantageous).
