Job Summary

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the company’s tax operations, including compliance, reporting, and planning.
- Deferred Tax and Tax Computations
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position and align with business goals.
- Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on the company’s tax obligations.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including finance teams, legal advisors, and tax authorities, to manage audits, disputes, and other tax-related matters.
- Provide strategic tax advice to senior management on potential tax risks and opportunities.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- SAIT (South African Institute of Tax Professionals) qualification is required.
- A minimum of 9-10 years of experience in taxation, with a strong focus on South African tax matters.
- Experience in the mining or chemicals industry or similar sectors is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of South African tax laws, including corporate tax, VAT, and transfer pricing.
- Proven ability to manage tax affairs in a complex business environment.
- Leadership experience with a track record of developing and managing a high-performing team.
