Job Description

Qualifications Matric / Grade 12. Relevant Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Systems, or a related field will be beneficial. Exposure to Sage X3 or a similar ERP platform will be highly advantageous. Certifications in hardware support, networking, systems administration, Microsoft environment support, or related IT disciplines will be beneficial. Valid driver’s licence preferred. Comfortable working across software, hardware, ERP systems, reporting, and infrastructure support. Interested in using AI and emerging technologies to improve business efficiency. Experience Required Relevant experience in a junior IT support, business systems support, ERP support, or internal IT coordination role. Exposure to Sage X3 or a similar ERP system preferred. Experience with software maintenance, access control, updates, and user support. Experience controlling hardware registers, asset allocation, stock records, and serial number tracking. Basic exposure to servers, internet uptime coordination, network support, and liaison with external IT providers. Exposure to IP telephony systems will be beneficial. Experience supporting ERP reporting, business analytics, or dashboard preparation will be advantageous. Exposure to evaluating, testing, and implementing new software solutions. Experience in a multi-site or branch-based business environment preferred. Exposure to generator, solar, or building support coordination within an operational environment will be advantageous. Key Responsibilities ERP and Business Systems Support Support and help maintain the ERP system on a day-to-day basis. Assist users with ERP queries, system issues, user access, data visibility, and general system support. Maintain software records, licence awareness, updates, and user administration. Manage and maintain company price lists, including system updates, version control, distribution, and accuracy. Support management and users with business analysis, reporting, and data visibility. Assist with data extraction, reporting accuracy, dashboard support, and business intelligence initiatives. AI, Research and Process Improvement Support marketing and management through AI-assisted lead generation, research, and process improvement initiatives. Conduct market research using AI tools and internet-based research. Evaluate and assist with the implementation of new software solutions that improve operational efficiency. Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and practical technology innovation. Hardware and Asset Management Manage and maintain company hardware including laptops, desktops, printers, monitors, mobile devices, and related equipment. Maintain accurate hardware asset registers and records. Control serial number records, stock allocation, repairs, replacements, and equipment movements. Ensure all IT assets are tracked and managed effectively. Infrastructure and IT Support Assist in maintaining uptime and reliability of servers, internet connectivity, and business systems. Escalate and follow through on technical issues until resolution. Support and maintain the IP telephony environment, including user changes, handset allocation, and telephony issue coordination. Provide day-to-day IT support to employees and ensure issues are logged, tracked, and resolved efficiently. Business Continuity Support Assist with planning and coordination of infrastructure linked to business continuity, including generators, solar systems, and related support services. Support preventative maintenance planning for critical support infrastructure. Reporting and Administration Maintain clear records and documentation. Prepare and submit reports as required. Work closely with management, finance, operations, marketing, and IT stakeholders to support business objectives. Additional Duties General Maintain all IT asset registers, software records, serial number records, and related control documentation accurately. Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees from an IT, systems, hardware, and telephony perspective. Liaise with external service providers, telecom suppliers, hardware vendors, software providers, and maintenance contractors. Support investigations into system inefficiencies and process improvements. Assist with preventative maintenance planning for critical support infrastructure. Improve IT controls, record keeping, standardisation, and system discipline. Support price list maintenance and document control activities. Assist with business analysis and reporting requirements. Conduct market research using AI tools and internet research to support business development and decision-making. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the organisation’s technology capabilities. Perform any other duties reasonably requested by senior management.
