About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Administrator to join our team in Johannesburg. As a hands-on and responsive individual, you will be responsible for managing and resolving IT support tickets, providing first-line and second-line support for day-to-day user issues, and working across various infrastructure, Microsoft environments, and operational IT support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve IT support tickets (onsite and remote)
- Provide first-line support for day-to-day user issues including password resets, Microsoft 365 support, printer issues, connectivity problems, laptop troubleshooting, and general IT assistance
- Troubleshoot more complex technical issues relating to user access, devices, software installations, network connectivity, business applications, and system-related incidents
- Support laptops, desktops, printers, networks, and business systems
- Assist with Microsoft 365 and Azure-based environments
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and onboarding/offboarding activities
- Escalate issues to vendors or senior engineers when required
- Assist with IT setup, deployments, and operational support activities
- Document issues, fixes, and support procedures clearly
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in IT support or IT operations
- Comfortable working in a ticketing / ITSM environment
- Good understanding of general IT infrastructure and support
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, or Active Directory environments
- Ability to communicate clearly with users and provide good customer service
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field
- Relevant hands-on experience will also be considered
- Nice to have: Experience supporting hybrid (onsite cloud) environments, exposure to networking, backups, or endpoint security
