About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Key Accounts Manager to drive OEM growth for our company within the trucking and commercial industry in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing national fleet key accounts, leading executive-level engagement and negotiations, and building account growth and TCO strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive OEM growth by developing and managing national fleet key accounts
  • Lead executive-level engagement and negotiations
  • Build account growth and TCO strategies
  • Collaborate closely with dealers and RSMs to grow incremental sales while protecting dealer margin
  • Govern customer segmentation and target allocation
  • Track performance and market insights
  • Deliver consistent, professional national fleet relationships

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Sales, Business, or equivalent
  • Minimum 5–7 years of B2B sales or key account management experience in commercial vehicles, logistics, or a related sector
  • Proven ability to build and maintain C-suite customer relationships and negotiate large, complex deals
  • Strong understanding of dealer-based distribution networks and South African commercial vehicle market dynamics
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Negotiation and closing abilities at national level
  • Ability to balance national growth with dealer network collaboration

Qualifications

  • Clean criminal record
  • Valid code 8 driver’s licence
  • Grade 12/Matric
