Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW Our client is seeking a highly talented, motivated, and qualified Marketing Manager to lead, execute, and optimise all brand-building and go-to-market initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strategic marketer with a strong creative eye, proven experience growing brands, and the ability to turn insights into impactful campaigns that increase awareness, engagement, and revenue. They will be responsible for overall brand strategy, digital marketing leadership, campaign development, performance optimization, team management, and cross-department collaboration. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES �. Brand Strategy & Development �. Build and execute comprehensive brand strategies that strengthen market positioning. �. Maintain and evolve brand identity, tone of voice, and customer experience across all channels. �. Ensure brand consistency across design, messaging, campaigns, partners, and media. �. Campaign Planning & Execution �. Conceptualize, plan, and implement 360° marketing campaigns (digital, social, traditional, influencer, PR). �. Manage campaign calendars, budgets, timelines, assets, and cross-functional coordination. �. Oversee production of creative content (video, photo, copy, social media assets, point-of-sale materials). �. Digital Marketing Management �. Lead SEO, SEM, paid media, social media marketing, and CRM strategies. �. Manage performance marketing dashboards (Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, etc.). �. Oversee website content, user experience, landing pages, and conversion funnels. �. Grow brand awareness, reach, impressions, and engagement. �. Market Research & Insights �. Analyse market trends, customer behaviours, and competitor landscapes. �. Identify growth opportunities and new market segments. �. Use data to optimise marketing initiatives and ROI. �. Team Leadership & Internal Collaboration Manage and mentor a marketing team (designers, copywriters, content creators, coordinators). Collaborate with sales, product, operations, and external agencies. Lead effective project management and workflow processes. Budget Ownership & ROI Develop and manage annual marketing budgets. Track, measure, and report on campaign results and KPIs. Ensure efficient resource allocation and maximum return on spend. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education �. Bachelors degree in Marketing, Brand Management, Business, Communication, or related field. �. Masters degree or additional branding certification is a strong advantage. Experience �. 58 years of experience in marketing, brand management, or agency roles. �. Proven track record of building or scaling brands. �. Strong portfolio of campaigns demonstrating creativity and commercial impact. �. Experience managing teams, agencies, and multi-channel campaigns. �. Experience with digital marketing tools and analytics platforms. REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES �. Strategic & Creative Skills �. Strong strategic thinker with brand-building expertise. �. Highly creative with the ability to translate ideas into compelling campaigns. �. Strong understanding of storytelling, positioning, and customer psychology. Technical Skills Proficient in: Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager CRM/automation (HubSpot, Mailchimp, etc.) SEO/SEM principles Social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social) Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite or ability to brief creative teams Leadership & Management Excellent project management and organisational skills. Ability to lead, motivate, and hold a team accountable. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Personality Traits Highly motivated, driven, and proactive. Results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership. Comfortable in fast-paced and high-growth environments. Strong attention to detail and quality. Passionate about branding, creativity, and innovation. Well spoken, fluent in both English as well as Afrikaans (Speak, read & write). Take pride in personal appearance. Enjoy working and interacting with people. Willing to work weekends and after hours (if necessary). KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIS) The qualified candidate must be able to deliver measurable results in: Brand Awareness Growth (reach, impressions, recognition scores) Campaign Performance (CTR, conversions, engagement, leads) Revenue Contribution (campaign ROI, CAC, LTV improvements) Digital Growth (organic traffic, social growth, SEO ranking) Customer Engagement (email open rates, loyalty metrics) Project Delivery (on time, within budget, at required quality) Team Performance & Output REMUNERATION Will be based on candidates employment / earnings history and is negotiable to a certain extent.
