Job Title: Millwright Apprenticeship Report to: Operations Seniority Level: Mid-Career (2 – 4 yrs exp) Duties and Responsibilities Job Purpose To support the maintenance, installation, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment under the supervision of qualified artisans/technicians, while gaining practical skills and knowledge required to become a competent Millwright. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Support qualified Millwrights and Technicians in troubleshooting equipment breakdowns. Operate basic workshop machinery and hand tools under supervision. Read and interpret basic technical drawings and work instructions. Perform preventive maintenance tasks and inspections. Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Attend training (theory and practical) as part of apprenticeship requirements. Follow all company safety, health, and environmental policies. Qualifications & Experience N2/N3 Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (minimum requirement). Matric with Maths and Science (advantageous). Previous exposure to a workshop or industrial environment (advantageous). For Technician role: Trade Test Millwright or equivalent qualification preferred, with relevant hands-on experience. Attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to work under supervision and follow instructions.
