About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Mining Machinery Design Engineer to join our engineering team, where you will be responsible for the design, development, improvement, and support of mining equipment and heavy machinery systems used in underground and surface mining operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mining machinery and mechanical systems
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications
- Perform stress analysis, calculations, and design verification
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and project teams
- Improve existing equipment for performance, safety, and reliability
- Ensure compliance with mining safety and engineering standards
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical support when required
- Manage engineering documentation and revision control
- Support prototype testing and commissioning activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in mining machinery or heavy equipment design
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor
