About the Role

Network Finance is seeking an experienced Credit Risk Consultant to join our team in Johannesburg North. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and reviewing credit risk models, validating and assessing credit risk models, and contributing to a strong coaching culture within the team.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and review credit risk models for IFRS 9 provisioning and regulatory capital purposes
Validate, audit, and assess credit risk models, including scorecards and related methodologies
Assist with coding, automation, and optimisation of financial risk management models
Coach, mentor, and support junior team members within a collaborative team environment
Contribute to building a strong coaching culture that encourages challenge and continuous improvement

Requirements

Honours or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Actuarial Science, or equivalent
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a quantitative credit risk-focused role
Exposure to credit risk modelling within financial services
Strong understanding of contemporary credit risk modelling techniques
