Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end data science workflows, including data extraction, cleaning, feature engineering, modelling, and deployment
- Develop and implement advanced machine learning and statistical models to solve complex business problems
- Design and build AI-driven solutions that improve business performance and decision-making
- Translate complex or unstructured business challenges into scalable analytical frameworks
- Work within cloud environments (AWS) and modern analytics platforms such as SAS Viya
- Build data visualisations and dashboards to communicate insights effectively
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure solutions address key strategic objectives
- Present technical findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Education:
- Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar
- Strong foundation in statistical modelling and machine learning theory
- Experience:
- 4+ years of practical, hands-on data science experience
- Strong experience building machine learning models in production environments
- Advanced experience with Python, SAS, and SQL
- Experience working with large datasets and complex data pipelines
- Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Experience using data visualisation tools to present insights
- Skills:
- Strong technical and analytical problem-solving ability
- Ability to design, build, and deploy complex data science solutions independently
- Excellent data storytelling and communication skills
- Naturally curious with a passion for experimentation and innovation
- Comfortable working with both technical teams and business stakeholders
- Thrives in fast-paced, data-driven environments
