Salary: R6,500 per month (negotiable depending on experience)

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a pastry or bakery department within a fine dining or luxury restaurant environment

• Relevant pastry, culinary qualification, or professional training (advantageous)

• Strong understanding of pastry techniques, baking fundamentals, and kitchen hygiene standards

• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision

• Excellent attention to detail and a passion for precision

• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and develop within the pastry team

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist senior pastry chefs with preparation of desserts, baked goods, and pastry components

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the pastry section at all times

• Ensure all ingredients, doughs, and mixes are prepared and stored according to food safety regulations

• Support the team in delivering high-quality pastry items consistently

• Follow recipes, portioning, and presentation standards as directed by senior pastry chefs

• Contribute to a positive and professional kitchen environment
