Job Description
A leading manufacturer in the food processing and manufacturing industry is seeking a skilled Procurement Sourcing Agent to join their team in China. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to play a key role in sourcing raw materials, ingredients, and packaging, while ensuring compliance with quality and cost standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage supplier relationships in China and the greater Asian region.

Source and negotiate with vendors for the procurement of raw materials, food ingredients, packaging, and non-stock items.

Conduct regular supplier audits and factory inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, including delivery timelines, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
-
Collaborate with the local and international procurement teams to meet demand planning requirements.

Maintain detailed procurement records and ensure timely reporting.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to strategic sourcing initiatives.
Key Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years experience in sourcing and procurement, preferably in the food manufacturing or FMCG sector.

Must be fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken).

Strong knowledge of procurement practices, supplier negotiation, and contract management.

Ability to travel locally and internationally for supplier visits and audits.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Relevant degree or diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Must be currently based in China.
NB: The successful candidate must demonstrate a deep understanding of sourcing in the Chinese market, with the ability to navigate cultural, legal, and logistical factors that impact procurement activities.
