About the Role
The Property Risk and Compliance Manager will assist the Head: Company Secretarial, Risk and Compliance in implementing all aspects of the risk function, ensuring compliance to relevant statutory requirements and maintaining the highest level of client confidentiality. This role is a key component of our risk management strategy, requiring a strong understanding of business risk management and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and update the Company Regulatory Universe on a continuous basis
- Determine and perform internal Compliance Reviews and coordinate compliancemonitoring activities to ensure that the Company is in compliance with applicable statutory, regulatory and other standards
- Respond promptly to detected compliance issues from Compliance Reviews
- Ensure quarterly reporting of Compliance Review and Monitoring results are documented in the Risk and Compliance Management Status Report
- Prepare monthly reports to Momentum Group Compliance on a basis
- Manage and maintain the Divisional Risk Registers
- Perform Client Due Diligence World Check Screening as and when requested by the various Divisions
- Report all bank accounts opened / closed to Momentum Group as and when they occur
Requirements
- B.Com (Hons) Internal Auditing / Risk Management equivalent degree with at least 5 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) would be an advantage
- Understanding and experience of the Property Management business and Property Development business will be an advantage
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
