About the Role
The Quality Control Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of products manufactured by our company. This position requires attention to detail, technical knowledge, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting materials, reviewing certifications, and identifying non-conforming products.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect material and record results
- Review certifications of compliance from suppliers as required
- Identify and move rejected material to receiving/controlled area
- Assist production to improve product quality
- Test/inspect incoming raw-material and verify compliance to work standards prior to use by production
- Roving inspection as per the relevant specifications, methods and schedules which may involve electrical, mechanical, physical and chemical testing
- Fault finding
- Record test/inspection results on the relevant documents
- First off sample inspection and approval
- Assist production in any way required to improving product quality
- Identify and report any non-conforming product/material analyses on product
- Participate in internal company and regulatory compliance audits
- Abide to safety compliance requirements in the work environment
- General quality product awareness and inspection on the production floor and first off approval
- Online inspection and various QC holding points
- Paperwork and traceability according to ISO 9001 requirements
Requirements
- Matric or equivalent
- ISO 9001 knowledge
- Working experience in Quality Control inspection
- Product knowledge is advantageous
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Ability to work overtime as and when required

- Formal education/certifications (if applicable)
