About the Role
MPRTC Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced Research and Development Specialist/Product Researcher to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our R&D department, you will be responsible for driving innovation and product development, while ensuring compliance with South African regulatory standards and market trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis to inform product development and manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address product lifecycle management needs
- Develop and maintain relationships with global suppliers and procurement partners
- Analyze costs and negotiate contracts to optimize supplier agreements
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and market trends to inform product development
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Minimum 5 years experience as an R&D Specialist or in a similar product research role
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and product lifecycle management
- Understanding of South African regulatory standards and compliance frameworks
- Proficiency in global sourcing, procurement, and supplier relationship management
- Negotiation and cost analysis expertise
