Job Summary
Sandton based luxury lodge & hotel group requires an experienced Reservations Manager with at least 5 years experience. Manage the reservations process and operation for the lodges and hotels, by training and motivating the team to deliver quality service and meet financial targets for the property. They also ensure that the reservations team adhere to policies and procedures implemented by the properties. Duties include management of the day-to-day operations of the Central Reservations Department. – Co-ordinate and supervise all staff that are employed in the Central Reservations Department. -Communicate with all departments in order to ensure efficient and reliable service. – Oversee the administration of all rates and system requirements on the Central Reservations System as well as the PMS systems. – Prepare reports on a daily weekly, monthly as well as when required basis. – The overall management of inventory of multiple properties on the Central Reservations System is required. – Through sound knowledge of Opera, Apex and eRES /Nebula. Oversee the yielding and management of the online travel agent systems and API links with preferred partners. – Regular participation in the management meetings is required. Essential Pre-requisites Microsoft Office, especially with Good Excel Skills eRES / Nebula, Opera & Apex 5 to 8 years experience managing a call centre and reservations department for multiple properties in hospitality Must have a good command of the English language with good writing skills
