Job Description

The Sales Manager will require a detailed understanding and full utilization of the travel sales network in our international markets, also at multiple levels in line with a multi-channel business. Candidate requirements: A minimum of 5 years experience in a luxury travel environment At least 2 years proven Sales Management track record/ Applicable Degree/Diploma will be given preference Sales and luxury tourism product and Africa DMC experience preferred Exposure to world class sales management/ transformation and digital/e-commerce practices a distinct advantage Proven track record of hitting and exceeding stretch sales targets Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals Key Responsibilities: Sales Management and Development Aggressively pursue sales targets for both bed and DMC sales Sales/Brand Representation and Negotiation Represent the brand at major sales/trade show events Ensure that you have a detailed understanding of the marketing drivers that drive revenue Creating and conducting proposal presentations and responses. Assisting the market Sales Teams in preparation of proposals and presentations Conduct appropriate follow up until deals are closed Control expenses to meet budget guidelines Through creative thinking and implementation of sales initiatives, achieve targets for revenue, profitability and sales growth Adhere to all policies, procedures and business ethics codes Maintain and develop corporate image and reputation, and protect and develop the company’s brands Compliance with workplace policies and procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control Active participation in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries and property damage at the workplace Correct utilisation of appropriate personal protective equipment Prepare, Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate identified markets Search for sales leads and prospects Assist in the development and implementation of sales & marketing plans as needed Conduct reviews with all market Sales Team members to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of sales and activity performance Provide timely feedback to market Sales Team regarding performance Ensure that you meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals, closes and reporting Maintain contact with Key market clients in the market area and internally to ensure high levels of client satisfaction Demonstrate ability to interact, cooperate and mentor all employees Package:

Job Description

Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Growth Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth across rental and sales channels. Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and routes to market (local and international). Analyse sales performance, pricing, conversion rates, and pipeline data to inform decision-making. Contribute to broader business strategy discussions with the CEO and leadership team. Sales Leadership & Execution Lead and motivate a small sales team, ensuring high performance, accountability, and professionalism. Set sales targets, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions where required. Remain hands-on in key deals, high-value clients, and strategic negotiations. Ensure a strong balance between customer acquisition, retention, and long-term brand positioning. Commercial & Customer Focus Sell high-value, luxury products with a consultative, experience-driven approach. Ensure sales processes align with the premium nature of the product and brand. Work closely with operations, manufacturing, and marketing to align demand, availability, and delivery. Maintain a deep understanding of customer profiles, buying behaviour, and international tourism trends. Process, Reporting & Continuous Improvement Implement and refine sales processes, reporting, and CRM discipline. Track key sales metrics and provide regular insights and recommendations to the CEO. Continuously improve sales effectiveness, conversion rates, and customer experience. Qualifications & Experience Proven experience in a senior sales management role , ideally within luxury, high-value, or premium products. Demonstrable track record of leading sales teams and driving revenue growth. Experience selling complex, high-ticket items (e.g. luxury vehicles, leisure products, property, marine, tourism, or similar). Strong commercial and strategic sales capability. Relevant tertiary qualification (degree or equivalent) preferred , but not essential if experience is strong. Key Attributes Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen. Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels. Confident engaging with an astute CEO and contributing meaningfully to growth discussions. Highly professional, articulate, and credible with senior clients. Data-driven, structured, and performance-focused. Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Our client is seeking a Sales Manager to lead, coach, and supervise our sales team. This role will be pivotal in developing and executing strategic sales initiatives. The Sales Manager will oversee SDRs (Sales Development Representatives) and Internal Sales Team, and will also participate as a closer when necessary. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership and excellent communication skills Team Leadership Recruit, train, and manage a team of SDRs and Account Executives to meet and exceed sales targets. Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities to enhance team performance. Sales Strategy & Execution Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand clients customer base and achieve short- and long-term revenue objectives. Monitor key metrics (e.g., pipeline health, conversion rates, average deal size) and adjust tactics to maintain strong sales performance. Pipeline Management Establish and maintain a rigorous pipeline management process, ensuring consistent and accurate forecasting. Collaborate with SDRs to optimize lead generation strategies and engage high-quality prospects. Closing Deals Act as a closer for high-value or strategic deals when necessary, leveraging strong negotiation and relationship-building skills. Work closely with Account Executives to refine their closing techniques and improve their success rates. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Marketing to align on demand generation campaigns, lead quality, and sales enablement materials. Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure seamless onboarding and retention of new customers. Reporting & Analytics Track and analyze sales performance, presenting insights and recommendations to the leadership team. Use data to drive decision-making, setting realistic goals, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Qualifications & Skills Education & Experience : Knowledge and good understanding of the Education & Training space would be beneficial 2 years of experience in B2B sales leadership roles Leadership & Management : Proven success leading SDR and Account Executive teams, including hiring, training, and performance management. Experience designing and implementing sales processes for rapid growth. Closing Skills : Demonstrable experience closing deals, especially in high-value or complex sales scenarios. Strong negotiation, presentation, and proposal development abilities. Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills Analytical & Strategic Thinking : Proficiency in analysing sales data, forecasting, and developing actionable insights. A strategic mindset, able to anticipate market changes and adapt sales approaches accordingly.
