Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for executing data engineering activities in line with the bank’s standards, frameworks, and strategic data roadmaps.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data architecture across multiple application platforms
- Analyse data elements, source systems, and data flows to support enterprise data solutions
- Build and maintain scalable infrastructure for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT)
- Develop, manage, optimise, and monitor robust data pipelines
- Create data tooling that enables data consumers to efficiently build and optimise data consumption solutions
- Design, define, and develop APIs to support data integration and access
- Develop solutions across multiple application platforms and environments
- Perform root cause analysis on internal and external data and data processes
- Apply knowledge of integration patterns, styles, protocols, and systems
- Collaborate with technology teams and country data teams to deliver viable data solutions aligned to architectural guidelines
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in business commerce, information studies, information technology
- 5-7 years’ experience in building databases, warehouses, reporting and data integration solutions
- 8-10 years deep understanding of data pipelining and performance optimisation
- 8-10 years’ experience in database programming languages
- Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake (ADLS Gen2), Azure SQL Database / SQL Managed Instance, Azure Functions & Logic Apps, Azure DevOps
- Kafka
- Spark / Spark SQL
- Power BI
- Python
