Job Description
As a Senior Business Application Analyst, you will act as a key link between stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions. You will lead analysis and design phases of digital transformation initiatives while working closely with development, BI, and project teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
This role is ideal for a highly analytical professional who enjoys solving complex challenges, working with data, and driving measurable business improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead business analysis and solution design for digital transformation initiatives
- Engage with stakeholders to understand current processes and define future-state solutions
- Gather, interpret, and document business requirements
- Translate business needs into technical specifications for development teams
- Collaborate with project, development, and BI teams to ensure successful delivery
- Design and implement reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions
- Analyse financial and operational data to generate insights and improve performance
- Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for system and process improvements
- Support solution implementation, enhancements, and continuous optimisation
- Build strong client relationships and ensure successful project delivery
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education:
- Relevant degree in Finance, Business, IT, or related field (e.g., BCom or equivalent)
Experience:
- 5–8 years’ experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or BI-focused roles
- Strong experience working with financial systems and system integrations
- Experience working with large datasets and reporting environments
Technical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience with business intelligence tools, reporting, and data modelling
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
- Solid understanding of financial systems and processes
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Exposure to data warehousing concepts
Advantageous Skills:
- Microsoft certifications or experience with Microsoft technology stack
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure)
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Syspro, Dynamics, Sage or similar)
- Exposure to advanced BI, AI, or IoT technologies
Additional Competencies:
- Strong communication skills across technical and business stakeholders
- Ability to simplify complex concepts and present actionable insights
