About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-driven Accountant to join our luxury safari lodge team in Kruger National Park. As a key financial role, you will be responsible for managing full accounting functions within a unique live-in environment, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial control, and efficient day-to-day finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day finance operations and daily financial data capturing
• Administer and reconcile debtors and creditors accounts
• Perform monthly and weekly stock and inventory reconciliations
• Capture and reconcile cash books accurately
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with financial reporting
• Support preparation of financial statements
• Maintain strong internal controls and corporate governance standards
• Ensure accurate financial record keeping and compliance
• Work closely with lodge management on financial reporting requirements
• Utilise accounting systems including SAGE Cloud, Apex, and Pluspoint
• Assist with audit preparation and financial documentation where required
Requirements
Strong organisational and deadline management skills are essential for this role. You will need to be highly accurate and detail-driven, with a strong working knowledge of SAGE Cloud, Apex, or similar systems.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance is essential for this position. A minimum of 4 years’ accounting experience is also required. Matric/Grade 12 is a pre-requisite.
