About the Role

Takora is seeking an experienced General Manager – Sales Transport to lead our commercial teams in Kempton Park. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain and transport management, with a proven track record of driving business growth and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial teams from a new business sales environment
  • Oversee FTL & LTL / brokerage operations
  • Lead internal stakeholders, including EXCO members
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive EBIT growth
  • Engage with customers and negotiate contracts
  • Monitor and analyze P&Ls and key performance indicators

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain and/or similar tertiary qualification or Matric
  • At least 5 years of experience in end-to-end Supply Chain and/or transport
  • At least 3 years managing commercial teams (individuals) from a new business sales environment
  • Experience in FTL & LTL / brokerage in trucking
  • Leadership experience
  • Strong financial acumen, with a clear understanding of P&Ls and key EBIT drivers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft PowerPoint
