F&B / Host (Looking for a fun & young dymanic person with great attention to detail) Location Limpopo; Limpopo, South Africa Job Type Permanent; Full-Time Primary Industry Travel; Leisure, Tourism and Hospitality Secondary Industry Travel; Leisure, Tourism and Hospitality Job Description The role of F&B / Host is pivotal in delivering an exceptional guest experience within a dynamic hospitality environment. The successful candidate welcomes guests and ensures smooth front-of-house operations. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. The F&B / Host works closely with food and beverage teams to coordinate service flow and maintains a welcoming atmosphere throughout the venue. Job Duties Greet and welcome guests promptly and courteously upon arrival. Manage reservations, including booking, confirming, and organising seating arrangements. Maintain an organised waiting list and communicate estimated waiting times effectively. Escort guests to their tables and provide menus or relevant information regarding services. Coordinate with food and beverage teams to ensure timely and efficient service delivery. Handle guest inquiries, requests and resolve any concerns with professionalism and discretion. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the reception and dining areas. Assist with administrative duties such as updating guest records and processing payments where applicable. Comply with health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards. Promote and uphold the brands standards and values consistently. Required Qualifications National Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification. Formal training or certification in hospitality or customer service is advantageous. Education A minimum of a secondary education is required. Further education in hospitality management or related fields is preferred but not mandatory. Experience At least five years experience in a customer-facing role within the hospitality or food and beverage sector. Experience working in a fast-paced environment that requires multitasking and prioritisation. Previous experience handling reservations and guest relations is highly beneficial. Knowledge and Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with guests. Strong organisational and time management abilities. Proficient in using reservation management systems and basic computer applications. Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required. Preferred Qualifications Diploma or certificate in hospitality management or a related discipline. Multilingual abilities are advantageous, particularly in languages commonly spoken by the guest demographic. Previous experience in a similar role within a travel, leisure, or tourism setting. Working Conditions Live in role 6 weeks on 2 weeks off
