About the Role
We are currently assisting a luxury private lodge, located in the Kruger National Park, in sourcing a highly capable and guest-focused Lodge Manager. This is a hands-on, guest-facing role ideal for someone who thrives in intimate, high-end lodge environments and has a strong command of daily operations, team leadership, and refined guest service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day lodge operations, including guest services, housekeeping, F&B, and maintenance
- Personally host guests to a 5-star standard, ensuring each stay is personalised
- Manage and motivate a small, cross-functional team with a focus on excellence and accountability
- Liaise with the reservations, marketing, and back-office teams for seamless logistics
- Maintain property standards, stock control, and reporting procedures
- Uphold conservation values, sustainability goals, and company ethos
Requirements
- Proven experience managing a luxury lodge or boutique hospitality operation
- Confident host with a natural, engaging presence and high attention to detail
- Strong understanding of lodge systems, team leadership, and remote site logistics
- Financial and administrative acumen (reporting, stock, budgeting)
- Adaptable, hands-on, and comfortable with isolated living
Qualifications
- South African citizenship or valid work permit (essential)
