About the Role
The FMS Roaming Maintenance Technician is a critical role in maintaining the fuel management system on site, ensuring the equipment is in good working order and condition, while also providing excellent customer service and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform fault diagnostics and error analysis
- Install and commission products
- Repair, remove, inspection and servicing of products
- Ensure that the equipment is maintained and repaired/installed in accordance with OEM requirements and specifications
- Compile a schedule for preventative maintenance on the fixed fuel management system
- Assist with mini projects running in maintenance
- Support and assist the Database Specialist with investigations and solutions as necessary
- Perform administrative tasks such as keeping records of new installed equipment, maintaining vehicle logbooks, and updating onsite reports (TOS)
- Keep track of stock and perform regular stock counts
- Assist customer with technical advice on products
- Inform Customer representative of any equipment that have become obsolete or are beyond economical repair
- Support the Marketing effort of products to customers
- Act as Site Manager
- Comply with all Customers rules and regulations and policies, including health, safety, quality, and environment
- Ensure medical fitness and induction documents are up to date and make necessary appointments and arrangements
- Report daily to the appointed Customer representative before commencing work responsibilities
- Attend weekly/monthly safety meetings as required by the mine
Requirements
- Technician knowledge of the product offering
- Effective communication skills
- Strong customer focus
- Ability to make decisions independently and creatively
- Strong good work ethics
- Good command of English language
- Electrical Trade test
- Electro-mechanical or instrumentation experience required
- Code 8 License
