Middelburg: Laboratory Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team in Middelburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of raw materials and finished products through testing and analysis, while maintaining our GMP and HACCP quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Testing and administering of raw material and finished product samples
• Performing prescribed physical and chemical tests on samples to ensure they are within limits of specification daily
• Maintaining the GMP and HACCP quality systems with regards to lab procedures
• Analyzing results of tests by recording and computing relevant data daily
• Working, maintaining, and generating reports from the NIR machine
• Ensuring all laboratory equipment is always in a good acceptable working condition

Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12 Certificate)
• Chemical Technicians Diploma
• Possession of a valid Code 08/EB drivers license
• Not less than 5 Years experience in a similar position in a Feed milling environment
• Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word & Outlook
• Working of GMP and HACCP Quality systems would be an advantage
