About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team in Midrand, responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Involvement of budget process including review and analysis of actuals against budget
- Preparing financial feasibilities and models required by the business and finance executive
- Preparing monthly financial reporting for the Finance Executive and ensuring reports are produced accurately and disseminated timeously (monthly, quarterly, annually)
- Ensuring accurate and timely completion of all submissions with queries addressed timeously
- Preparing and maintaining accurate EBIT, collections, cashflow, and capex forecasts
- Reviewing general ledger reconciliations for all accounts and ensuring reconciling items are cleared timeously
- Working closely with senior finance and exco senior management team to drive improvement in system functioning and automation of manual functions
- Ensuring fees and pricing is accurately captured in the system
- Monitoring and tracking performance against the budget and preparing status reports
- Reviewing variances in actual vs. budget expenditure and compiling variance reports
- Overseeing audit processes (internal and external) and providing relevant information and support to auditors
- Working closely with the Risk and Financial Analysis Manager to produce a risk analysis
- Assisting in risk mitigation and fraud prevention which complies with legislative, regulatory, and good governance frameworks
- Actively training and upskilling National Finance staff
- Supporting debtors manager, risk, and financial manager in keeping abreast of financial and reporting requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in commercial industry (advantageous)
- Deadline-driven and ability to perform under pressure
- Time management skills
- Sound knowledge of Audit principles
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
