About the Role
Our client is seeking a high-performance Hotel General Manager to lead a strategically located business hotel in Midrand, serving as a primary hub for corporate travelers and large-scale events in the Midrand/Waterfall corridor.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Operational Oversight: Lead all core departments including Rooms, Maintenance, Finance, and Security.
- Conferencing Excellence: Manage a high-demand event center with multiple simultaneous bookings.
- Commercial Growth & Financial Accountability: Drive occupancy and RevPAR by leveraging proximity to major convention centers and corporate headquarters.
- Quality & Asset Management: Maintain high GSI scores by ensuring premium standards are upheld across all guest touch points.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 6 years as a General Manager or Deputy General Manager in a high-volume business hotel environment.
- Conferencing Specialist: A proven track record in managing large-scale, high-turnover conferencing operations is non-negotiable.
- Leadership: A “visible” leader who manages from the front, especially during high-pressure corporate check-in periods and live event days.
