About the Role
The National Sales & Marketing Manager position is a critical role in driving sales growth, profitability, and market access for our medical device portfolio in South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, measure, and implement the sales and marketing strategy for the Nuclear / Radio-pharmacy division
- Drive optimization of educational activities and address employee and customer needs
- Lead the development of the Business Unit Strategic Plan in collaboration with Company leadership
- Manage the day-to-day leadership of the sales team, aligned to the Company and Group strategy and tactics
- Ensure timely finalization of yearly strategic marketing plans
- Assist with sales budgeting per territory for the portfolio of products
- Implement effective tactical plans and marketing activities, including congresses and customer workshops
- Evaluate competitors’ products, strategies, and driving appropriate business responses
- Analyze customer base with Sales Consultants and Sales Managers
- Identify new business opportunities and forecast team performance and targets
- Establish a network with key stakeholders: Physicians and Key Opinion Leaders
- Build and maintain strong relations with all stakeholders, including customers, payors, government, and employees
Requirements
- Relevant degree and/or medical-management qualification (advantageous)
- Minimum 3-5 years Sales & Marketing Management experience
- Experience with nuclear / radio-pharmacy will be secured alternatively, medical device sales management experience
- Clinical and product knowledge and existing relationships with customer base are advantageous
