About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client, a leading civil engineering firm based in Midrand, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Agent to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underground services, including stormwater, water, and sewer reticulations, as well as experience in bulk earthworks and road construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all on-site activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and timelines.
- Supervise site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
- Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure high standards of workmanship.
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to, promoting a safe working environment.
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to budget.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, and variation orders.
- Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the course of the project.
Requirements
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Site Agent or similar role, with specific experience in underground services such as stormwater, water and sewer reticulations, bulk earthworks, and road construction.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Valid drivers license and any relevant professional certifications.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
