About the Role
The Limpopo Career Consortium (Limcaco) is seeking an experienced Environmental Officer to join our team in Mokopane. As a key member of our environmental management team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and implementing sustainable practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental inspections and enforcement
- Participate in environmental monitoring programmes
- Implement Isometrics or similar compliance systems
- Assist with ISO 14001 implementation
- Manage waste disposal and minimization efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Natural Sciences, or equivalent
- IAIA registration (beneficial)
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Minimum 3 to 5 years proven experience as an Environmental Officer
- Demonstrated experience in environmental inspections and enforcement
- Experience in environmental monitoring programmes
- Familiarity with Isometrics or similar compliance systems
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Natural Sciences, or equivalent; IAIA registration (if applicable)
