About the Role
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a Trainee Manager for our Witbank Region. As a Trainee Manager, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop overall store operations under the direction and supervision of a Store Manager. This role involves performing a wide range of retail operational duties, and we are looking for someone who is eager to learn and grow with our company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists with the planning, implementation, and maintenance of promotional stock displays in FMCG, Health and Beauty.
- Participates in the delivery of transaction integrity for incoming goods receipts and outgoing returns guided by the company internal control procedures.
- Ensures efficient stock flow to the sales floor.
- Addresses shrinkage and overall stock levels through inventory management.
- Assists with achieving set store sales targets, including but not limited to FMCG, Health and Beauty.
- Maintains awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring local competitors.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 – 2 years experience in store retail management disciplines.
- Computer literate MS Office.
- Willing and able to work retail hours.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Financial / Admin or a relevant 3-year Diploma (advantageous).
