About the Role

As a Workshop Foreman at Reinhardt Transport, Nigel (a division of Reinhardt Transport Group), you will play a critical role in managing and maintaining our fleet maintenance program. This involves overseeing all aspects of maintenance, services, repairs, tasks, and breakdowns performed in the workshop. You will also be responsible for ensuring the quality of work, managing daily workflow, productivity, and efficiency of employees to achieve optimal fleet uptime.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the fleet maintenance program in line with technical standards
Oversee all maintenance, services, repairs, tasks, and breakdowns performed
Perform Quality control and improve quality of work on a continuous basis
Manage daily workflow, productivity, and efficiency of employees
Offer technical advice to employees when needed
Ensure all technical information is current and available to workshop employees
Identify trends and patterns and communicate product-related matters in a timely manner
Be hands-on and work on vehicles where needed
Ensure efficient use of materials, equipment, and labour resources
Maintain the workshop and equipment in a safe and clean manner
Adhere to Health and Safety rules (wearing PPE, housekeeping, etc.)
Report on any discrepancies (OHS/SHE) or concerns not part of Company policy

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years experience in the transport industry
High level of technical expertise to assist, support, and lead technicians
Computer literate
Physically fit
No criminal record
Attention to detail
Valid drivers license (applicants without a driver’s license will not be considered)
Own vehicle required to travel from home to work
