About the Role
We are seeking a Control & Instrumentation Engineer with strong experience in industrial automation and instrumentation to design and implement control systems for custom-built machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for control strategies, instrumentation selection, and ensuring seamless integration between mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop control and instrumentation systems for custom machines
- Develop control philosophies, functional descriptions, and system architectures
- Specify and integrate instrumentation (sensors, transmitters, encoders, etc.)
- Configure and support PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems
- Develop I/O lists, control panels, and wiring schematics
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers for full system integration
- Support prototype development, testing, commissioning, and system optimisation
- Conduct loop checks, calibration, and system validation
- Prepare technical documentation, including datasheets and manuals
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and control system best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering (BEng/BSc)
- Minimum of 47 years experience in control systems, instrumentation, or automation
- Strong understanding of control systems, instrumentation, and industrial processes
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP)
