About the Role
An exciting opportunity for an experienced and detail-driven Assistant Reservations Manager to join a leading luxury property group in Cape Town, combining hands-on travel design, team leadership, systems oversight, and commercial performance responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and curate high-end itineraries for B2B and B2C luxury guests
• Support Travel Designers in delivering seamless guest journeys
• Maintain expert destination and product knowledge across all properties
• Review complex bookings for feasibility and guest alignment
• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
• Approve discounts within authorised limits and ensure compliance
• Step into full managerial responsibility in Head of Reservations’ absence
• Book flights and third-party travel services where required
• Manage peak season inventory and availability strategically
Requirements
- Experience in luxury hospitality, safari, or high-end travel reservations (essential)
- Strong leadership or supervisory experience advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to meet performance and sales targets
- Strong organisational and problem-solving ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
