About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a Junior Financial Accountant to support the finance department in ensuring seamless financial transactions, accurate record-keeping, and regulatory compliance within a well-established manufacturing company in Willowton, Pietermaritzburg.
Key Responsibilities
• Process invoices and reconcile them with purchase orders and goods receipts.
• Monitor aging reports and ensure timely payments.
• Manage vendor payments and account details.
• Assist in external audits by providing necessary documentation and insights.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulations.
• Monitor and update debtor credit applications and information.
• Assist the senior accountant with daily accounting tasks.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Completed SAIPA, CIMA, or SAICA articles.
• Experience in accounts payable, receivable, and bookkeeping.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
