Job Description
As the Data Analytics, you will play a crucial role in providing analytical support and insights to the Internal Audit team.
Your expertise will help identify trends, anomalies, and risk areas within the group, its subsidiaries, and key partners. You will work closely with audit teams to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness through the application of advanced analytical tools and techniques, in alignment with our audit plans, methodologies, policies, and procedures.

Duties:
- Support the Data Analytics Manager in developing and executing audit/advisory plans.
- Contribute to internal audit strategic objectives, focusing on continuous auditing, monitoring, and data-driven insights.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the risk universe, internal controls, and associated regulations.
- Prepare and execute data analytics fieldwork using tools such as Python and SQL.
- Design and visualize trends and insights through dashboards using Power BI.
- Collaborate with audit teams to integrate data analytics into audit workflows.
- Adhere to project budgets, schedules, and scopes effectively.
- Complete required training and development programs as part of your Individual Development Programme (IDP).
- Contribute to team culture and attend social committee activities.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Garde 12)
- Degree or diploma in IT, Data Science, Statistics, or Audit.
- Professional certifications or qualifications in Python, SQL, Power BI, machine learning, or related fields are preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of data analytics experience, ideally in an internal audit or financial services environment.
- Proven proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and machine learning.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Financial services or insurance industry experience is preferred.
- Understanding of machine learning algorithms, internal audit standards, and data governance principles.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
