About the Role

As an Auto Electrician in our Pinetown workshop, you will be responsible for carrying out complex fault diagnostics, monitoring repair processes, and ensuring that all work meets high standards of accuracy and quality. You will also support colleagues in systematic faulty diagnosis, document results, and communicate important information regarding fault diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct visual inspection and/or on-board diagnosis during the pre-diagnosis step
Receive workshop orders, check their content for accuracy and understanding, and locate vehicles to drive them to the nearest workshop bay
Prepare operating equipment, bring necessary parts to the workshop bay, and perform all visual inspections, calibration work, and adjustments
Identify deviations, irregularities, and unusual wear and tear, and initiate additions to order/feedback to customers
Perform relevant tasks as required, ensuring accuracy and quality of work
Advising and supporting workshop staff in their search for information
Parameterizing with the aid of Diagnostic Machines and other systems, and updating software
Ensuring proper reverse documentation, e.g., software updates, warranty processing, and statutory tasks requiring documentation
Administer parts process, requesting parts as required according to internal processes and procedures

Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Code 10 – 14 licence with PrDP
Read and Write in English
Technical expertise, understanding, and knowledge
