About the Role
We are seeking a technically expert and highly organized Service Foreman to lead our multi-brand workshop in Polokwane. This critical role requires a leader who can manage the technical complexity of four distinct manufacturers (Nissan, GWM/Haval, Renault, and GAC) simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Workflow Control: Efficiently allocate job cards to technicians based on their skill level and the specific brand requirements (e.g., assigning EV repairs to certified technicians).
- Efficiency Targets: Drive workshop productivity and efficiency to meet daily hours-sold targets.
- WIP Management: Monitor Work in Progress (WIP) daily to ensure vehicles are completed on time and carry-overs are minimized.
Requirements
- Education: National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Foreman within a franchised dealership environment.
- Licensing: Valid unendorsed Drivers License
Salary & Benefits
Market-related basic salary based on experience, performance-based incentive structure (Hours sold/CSI/Productivity), medical aid and provident fund contributions.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Multi-Brand Adaptability: Ability to switch mental gears quickly between different manufacturer systems, diagnostic tools (e.g., CONSULT, CLIP), and service schedules.
- Diagnostic Expertise: Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills are non-negotiable.
- Computer Literacy: Proficient in Dealership Management Systems (e.g., Automate, Kerridge, Evolve) and MS Office.
- Communication: Ability to translate technical jargon into clear explanations for Service Advisors and customers.
