Education and Qualifications

• Grade 12 / N3 Qualification
• Qualified Artisan Trade Tested (Fitter and Turner/Millwright/Hydraulic Technician)
• Drivers License: Code 8 minimum

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery. (Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Mechanical).
• Conduct fault-finding and repair issues in a timely manner. Strong judgment/problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic design drawings and specifications.
• Able to read technical drawings and specifications
• Skilled in fitting, aligning, and repairing motor/gearboxes/pumps.
• Prioritize jobs and breakdowns effectively.
• Take initiative to maintain plant operations.
• Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are up to date.
• Previous experience working with injection moulding and assembly operations advantageous.
• Experience gained in a manufacturing production environment, advantageous.
• Extensive knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics fault-finding and installation
• Functional mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic testing of special machinery functions and circuits to ensure it meets the intended design functional specifications.
• Sound understanding and knowledge of valve controls and functions thereof.
