About the Role
The Mechanical Technician position at Profile Personnel involves performing routine maintenance tasks on machinery, conducting fault-finding and repair issues in a timely manner, and ensuring preventative maintenance schedules are up to date.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery (Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Mechanical)
- Conduct fault-finding and repair issues in a timely manner with strong judgment/problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic design drawings and specifications
- Skilled in fitting, aligning, and repairing motor/gearboxes/pumps
- Prioritize jobs and breakdowns effectively
- Take initiative to maintain plant operations
- Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are up to date
- Previous experience working with injection moulding and assembly operations is advantageous
- Experience gained in a manufacturing production environment is advantageous
- Extensive knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics fault-finding and installation
- Functional mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic testing of special machinery functions and circuits to ensure it meets the intended design functional specifications
- Sound understanding and knowledge of valve controls and functions thereof
Requirements
- Grade 12 / N3 Qualification
- Qualified Artisan Trade Tested (Fitter and Turner/Millwright/Hydraulic Technician)
- Drivers License: Code 8 minimum
