About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team in Port Elizabeth. As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks on machinery and conducting fault-finding and repair issues in a timely manner. You will work collaboratively as part of a team to maintain plant operations and ensure preventative maintenance schedules are up to date.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery (Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Mechanical)
- Conduct fault-finding and repair issues in a timely manner
- Read and interpret mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic design drawings and specifications
- Skilled in fitting, aligning, and repairing motor/gearboxes/pumps
- Prioritize jobs and breakdowns effectively
- Take initiative to maintain plant operations
Requirements
- Qualified Artisan Trade Tested (Fitter and Turner/Millwright/Hydraulic Technician)
- Grade 12 / N3 Qualification
- Drivers License: Code 8 minimum
Qualifications
- Qualified Fitter and Turner/Millwright/Hydraulic Technician certification
