About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Marketing Advisor – Crop Protection to join our team in Potchefstroom. As a key member of our marketing and business development team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and supporting our distributors and customers across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Offering technical service to Distributor and Distributor representatives while creating marketing opportunities to drive sales and achieve allocated financial targets.
- Business development and driving business support initiatives to reach regional budget across all portfolios.
- Contributing to training programs, delivering product presentations to sales team, distributors, and agents.
- Defining demonstration trials plans, implementing trials in the region, executing demonstrations, collecting data, and presenting results.
- Maintaining a customer database, supporting key promotional activities, and contributing to agent service and technical support.
- Conducting commercial trial work on new remedies and crop monitoring systems.
- Developing, maintaining, and advancing digital crop monitoring systems and programs aligned with our strategic plan.
- Coordinating marketing/demo day venues using relevant commercial and demonstration trial locations.
Requirements
- A Degree or Diploma in Agriculture
- BASOS and AVCASA accreditation (or ability to obtain within the first year of service)
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in crop protection industry in marketing and business development positions
- Good business/market intelligence and excellent technical skill regarding marketing tools and strategies
- Broad knowledge of agrochemical and agricultural input industry, with strong industry credibility and value chain expertise
- Good technical understanding of bio-stimulant and innovative nutrition and key competitors in the market

- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.)
