About the Role
We are seeking an experienced BI Tester to join our team in Pretoria. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for designing and executing test plans and test cases for ETL processes, data integration workflows, data marts, and reporting platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute test plans and test cases for ETL processes, data integration workflows, data marts, and reporting platforms
- Perform data validation and reconciliation between source systems and target BI systems
- Conduct functional integration system regression and performance testing on BI solutions and data pipelines
- Identify data quality issues, log defects, and track resolution
- Validate correctness of business logic in BI reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a BI Tester role
- Business Intelligence or Data Testing related certifications (Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate, Data Analyst Associate, etc.)
- Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate certification (or equivalent)
- Experience testing SSIS and ETL processes
- Minimum of 4 years experience testing and verifying Power BI dashboards and reports
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or Mathematics
- Business Intelligence or Data Testing related certifications
- Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate certification (or equivalent)
- Experience with T-SQL for data validation, query development, and test scripting
